One of man’s greatest work is jewelry making. Connected ethnically, culture is molded by various factors and considerations. Jewelry is forever related with fashion and through the years, accessorizing has been man’s fascination. Adorning oneself with things accentuate one’s personality. It raises the character and attracts attention making the proud owner more beautiful than ever. For most it is also a status symbol. Rich or poor always has a thing with jewelries. The rich use it to show how splendid they can be and how they can afford such marvelous works of art. Obtaining massive jewelry collections shows that one can afford these luxuries and not all can afford to have this things. A good price tag is always a show of success to many. Where the jewelry is made and who made is also a factor for its pricing. For the not-so-rich, gaining jewelry is not even a need nor even something to be prioritized. It is already luxurious to have some and even worth more than the money that is used in buying it in the first place. Not all jewelries are created the same, even their prices. The higher the percentage of purity of the metal, the more expensive it gets. Mixtures with other metals are done to reduce their prices. There are instances of creating fake jewelries, this is where coating is done to make a replica of a genuine item. It is also considered as an art and the older the pieces are, the more valuable it is. Collecting old jewelries are a a hobby for some. Academically, it also makes us determine our past and how ancient cultures lived and survived.
